- Apr 2007 - PresentArbisoft Ltd.Founder & Chief Executive Officer
We started and grew Arbisoft from 0 to the highest watermark of 1000+ people over the last 18+ years. Along the way, we earned the respect of A-list customers who are market leaders in their respective verticals. This led to long term stable technology partnerships with the likes oF KAYAK, edX, MIT, Harvard, Insurify, Amazon, Indeed and many others. I believe we were able to do this because we built a culture that is widely respected as one of the best in the industry and one where people are heard, respected and encouraged. This gives us first dibs on top-tier talent in a country of nearly 250 million people. The culture is largely a result of us staying true to our core values of trust, effort, excellence, value-creation and collaboration.
- Jul 2005 - Nov 2006OrthoClearDirector of Engineering
Orthoclear completely reinvented how clear plastic braces are manufactured. Align’s process relied on stereo-lithography for the final step whereas orthoclear created a unique process to precisely mill base plates for position and orientation of teeth with posts, poured in epoxy. I joined as the Director of Engineering. Later on named the Person Most Knowledgeable for software side of OrthoClear.
- Sep 2003 - Jun 2005Stanford Medical Informatics, Stanford UniversityResearch Associate
At Stanford, I needed work so I could pay my way through grad school. Got really fortunate to find a gig as a Research Associate at the Stanford Medical Informatics. They needed a strong C++ programmer with background in Computer Graphics and fortunately I was a good match. Had an amazing two years working on the Virtual Soldier Project - a DARPA funded research to automatically triage bullet injuries. Our group was responsible for the geometric moedling of the tissue after a bullet wound. Working with dense tetrahedral meshes for approximation of the human tissue was not easy because computers had limited memory by today’s standards. We’d often end up loading parts of the mesh in memory to process and simulate the bullet wound. It was a lot of fun!
- Aug 2002 - Sep 2003AlgoTrek Technology ConsultingFounder
We eventually spun off our Align team into a new company named AlgoTrek and continued working for another year before I took off for Stanford.
- Jan 2000 - Aug 2002Align TechnologyHead of Offshore Engineering Team
Align was a truly groundbreaking company. It really disrupted the world of adult orthodontics by introducing custom designed invisible braces for tooth misalignment. The problem was so new that it required writing a custom CADD application from scratch just for dental models. I had an amazing 3 years working at Align. Was promoted to be the engineering manager of the team that eventually grew to nearly 20 people.

- AIIM 37:167-176 · 2006Using Ontologies Linked with Geometric Models to Reason About Penetrating Injuries
Published in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (AIIM), 2006. This work combined ontological knowledge representation with 3D geometric models to reason about the anatomical, physiological and bio-mechanical effects of penetrating injuries.
